Client
Römerturm Feinstpapier.
A paper merchant with a passion for fine paper.
Why
Management wanted some medium of information that would inform employees about a recent restructuring. Their suggestion was an information brochure.
What
We suggested a more subtle approach, because change is always associated with fear, especially among employees as committed as those at Römerturm.
How
Instead of a standard brochure, a fairy tale designed specifically for Römerturm was written, and brought to life alongside a design agency and an illustrator.
The storytelling took place on Shrove Thursday at Römerturm headquarters, and the new guide lines were playfully presented within the stories. The fairy tale was wrapped in gift paper and ceremoniously presented to the employees.
Outcome
The fairy tale was a huge success.
All the employees were delighted! And they took in the content with the same enthusiasm. The dreaded inhibition threshold was overcome by the medium alone. There was no fear. In fact, the following year, the employees asked whether would be another fairy tale.
